Welcome to Celebrate Jesus
For 16 years, Celebrate Jesus encouraged and equipped everyday Christians to share the love of Jesus in creative ways in their neighborhoods. We partnered with churches and provided training in discovering the needs around them and how they can help meet some of those needs, getting the church "out of their seats and into the streets". Then we recruited volunteers to join in a one-week mission to help these churches begin to achieve their goals. Unfortunately, in 2015 we realized that this ministry was no longer viable and we had to close our doors. Read below for more information. However, we want to encourage you - especially those of you who have experienced a Celebrate Jesus mission, either at your own church or serving on a team - to continue the Celebrate Jesus mission of sharing the love of Jesus in practical ways with those around you. Feel free to download and use any of our materials. This website will stay up until August 2016.

Dear friend of Celebrate Jesus,
In the last 16 years Celebrate Jesus has conducted 30 missions in Florida and Georgia, along with joining UMVIM (United Methodist Volunteers in Mission) on a mission in Honduras. We have
seen God impact hundreds of churches and thousands of team members. We have seen churches revitalized and church members energized as they discovered who their neighbors are and learned
creative, practical ways to reach them. Hundreds of thousands of neighbors have been prayed for, visited and touched with the love of Jesus. We have seen team members begin their
relationship with Jesus, experience physical healing, find forgiveness, hear God’s calling on their lives, mend relationships and return home to serve His Kingdom with passion and new skills.
We frequently hear about people who have continued the Celebrate Jesus lifestyle in their churches, neighborhoods, schools and
businesses. Many former host churches have annual CJ-style outreaches every year. We praise God for all those who continue to celebrate Jesus! To God be the glory, great things He has done!
You have made a difference in many lives as we partnered together to Awaken Passion and Equip People to Share the Gospel and Reach Neighbors for Jesus Christ. We thank you for your faithful prayers, participation and financial support.
The Board of Directors and staff have worked diligently over the past several years to continue our mission despite numerous obstacles. We examined our strengths and weaknesses and sought improvements. However, we have to face the reality that the number of interested churches and team members have continued to decline along with funding. The Board has affirmed the decision to cease operations at two meetings this year after full and complete discussion and both times by unanimous vote. We considered every option and prospect available to us.
It is with great sadness that we announce we will close our office on August 31, 2015. The Celebrate Jesus, Inc. organization is simply no longer viable and must end. We encourage organizations, groups or individuals to continue the ministry of Celebrate Jesus through other avenues. We will keep our CJ website and FaceBook page open through summer of 2016 to provide an avenue for sharing glory stories and allow folks to download our training materials. We will have enough funds to meet our final obligations and will not accept any donations after August 28.
A Celebrate Jesus Reunion is being planned for next June in Orlando during the Florida United Methodist Annual Conference. Once details are confirmed, they will be sent out via email and
posted on our FaceBook page. We realize that our Celebrate Jesus family extends around the country and across the Atlantic so everyone won’t be able to physically attend, but we hope that if
you are in the area you will join us for a time of celebration.
This was not an easy decision to make. Our hope and prayer is that every person and every church that has participated in or been touched by the ministry of Celebrate Jesus will continue to celebrate Jesus every day in every possible way! Thank you again for your gifts of participation, prayer and finances.
