The best way to prepare yourself and your church to host a mission is to bring a group of your members on mission first as team members.  This first-hand experience will bless you beyond measure as you join God in His work with a local church and allow Him to work through you.  Host Churches that have sent members on mission before hosting their own mission are ahead of the game.  The mission experience has already opened their eyes to those “not yet churched” around them, they have experienced the joy of answered prayer and have seen the incredible ways God works through those who yield themselves to Him, they understand better the logistics of a mission, and they have an easier time recruiting volunteers.
